Apparently a thermal pad (included) is required during the building process. Not the best for thermal conductivity, but understandable since the i7-6770HQ is a BGA chip and features no heat spreader.
On the bright side, the case is designed to be easy to assemble. And unlike other chassis, heat pipes are not just mounted to the side panels but are encapsulated in them.
