Taiwanese startup ENCTEC is flipping things around with this concept of motherboard featuring the CPU socket on its backside, thus allowing a large fanless CPU cooler outside of the case for better convection.
We quite like the idea although covering it so tightly kinda ruins the whole point. Note that a fanless CPU cooler works just fine inside a PC chassis featuring a mesh top panel. In fact, ENCTEC's own case is ideal for internal passive cooling.
